Sorry for the crappy pic, it's a grab from a website clearly.

Edited to add, I've a hunch it's a Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda Metrographe Abyss Blue.

Yes it is.

I saw a photo of an Italian tailor wearing one and was intrigued.

I knew little of Parmigiani outside of the fact that they advertise in the FT occasionally. But I have to say that I am quite drawn to them. I like that they are an attractive high-end watch made by a small manufacturer.

I imagine you'd need to buy one and keep it till you die, though, because I suspect resale would be massively tricky.

Would anyone else here buy one?

I discovered the brand years ago when I saw a picture of the Atalante. I still think that - in a photograph - it's the most beautiful watch I've seen :

I don't know if it's still there, but about 5 years ago I discovered that there was a parmigiani store in London. I went, and they had the Atalante there. I hated it!
It was huge, and really didn't live up to my expectations - which is just as well since it was about £30k.
I still love it in photos though and I do like some other models. I do think I might own one of them one day.

I think they have a store in Mayfair.

I am going to Mayfair later this week.
