I've always thought of them as being baubles from a pen maker. Am I wrong?

The 'Heritage Chronometrie Exo Rattrapante', 'Metamorphosis II' and 'Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Geosphères Vasco Da Gama' are all incredible examples that Montblanc more than just pen manufacturers. They are well versed with high-end haute horology!

They've just released a new perpetual calendar watch with moon phase indicator and smoked sapphire crystal dial, which apparently is going to cost in the region of £10,000. It's a lot of cash for timepiece, but considering the complications, it's a very good price for a modern perpetual calendar watch.

Montblanc own the old movement manufacture Minerva, and their top end work is up there. Here's a photo I posted on another thread.
