Bored at work at the moment, so started thinking about what I'd like and I kinda like the idea of something green.

Any make considered, preferably automatic but not that important, just looking for suggestions from the Watches forum.

Something green and under £300.00. Over to you. smile

That's green in the colour of the face, any style considered.

I was looking at that very Steinhart a few weeks back when I was on holiday, in fact it ignited my 'green' want. hehe Kind of gone off it since, mind.

It's just waaaaaaaaay too obvious IMO.

I had the original size of that green Steinhart; it's a nice green but it's such a blatant Rolex homage that I didn't enjoy wearing it. So I swapped it.

The obvious green choice would be the Seiko SARB017 Alpinist, but that's now out of production I believe so possibly hard to find for £300. Keep an eye on this eBay auction, perhaps? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-SEIKO-Alpinist-SARB... You'll need to budget for a replacement strap because the original is rubbish.

As jobbo says, the SARB017 Alpinist:

He’s right about the strap as well, though it’s gradually improving (will no doubt replace in due course).

That looks rather nice, the picture in the link doesn't do it any justice at all. smile

Thank you. Green looks better in real life without the reflection of a phone...

Mine came from Seiya Japan, mainly because I've had good experiences buying from him before and also because that ebay photo doesn't look like the watch on my wrist somehow....

What about the Seiko recraft ? https://seikousa.com/collections/recraft/products/...

Might be tricky to source though they are pretty popular

Seiko Alpinist all the way if you can get one, I had to get mine from Canada.
A stunning watch and extremely versatile too.
