Thanks for that. I am not too clued up and I definitely admit my lack of knowledge on the subject.

I don't have the funds for almost all of them, but have managed to get my hands on their last available Jules Verne Instrument III.(the non Rose Gold one). The cheapest watch they make apparently, but still only 365 pieces in that colour.

I was looking at a Breguet and some others, but saw the Moinet and knew that's what I really liked. I cant wait to get my hands on it in the next week or so hopefully.

A friend of mine from Finland is a friend of Stepan Sarpaneva and I was looking to get one of his watches, but they are just too out of my price range and maybe a bit too OTT for me. I think I will be more than happy with the Moinet.

Thanks again

Seconded! A lot more interesting and unusual than a lot of other watches around that price point.

Overall I find the Louis Moinet design style quite divisive, with some great looking more traditionally designed watches like the Jules Verne, through to some that are closer to being a piece of art that happens to be in a watch case, such as the Kazakhstan Tourbillon:

Or the Russian Eagle:

Can't say i'm so keen on those and i think you'd need to be the sort of person who owns a few palaces or runs a corrupt dictatorship to look at home wearing one. I'd like to give it a go nonetheless smile

Haha yes I saw the Eagle one and thought you need to be in the FSB or maybe the Mafia or something. Not a watch I would be able to wear, but with the funds, would definitely collect. My taste is quite varied, but I do like a bit of style and character, without being too crazy and over the top.

Thanks all for the feedback, I will upload a pic or 2 when I get it.
