Tudor watch 1930's 1940's
Discussion
From the registration of the subseconds dial printing within its recess, I'm not convinced that the dial is fully original. If that is a redial it is not recent. The style of the dial is firmly 40's / 50's. I would have expected to see radium lume on a dial and hands of that age, but that does not look like radium to the eye (no discolouration of lume, no crumbling, no burn on the dial.)
Be aware that if it is radium, with a half life of 1600 years it is just as radioactive now as it ever was, even though it will have stopped working as lume decades ago. You don't need to worry unless you plan on opening the case. It would be lovely to see movement pictures by the way!
Is there text outside the chapter ring under the 6? Or is that a smudge? What does it say?
The history of the Tudor watch co. should be easy to find online. The internet will produce it for you with far greater accuracy than I ever could.
