Unfortunately this morning my Speedmaster reduced is dead as a dodo, I shook it and wound it a few times but it didn't come back to life. My little Seiko 5 is performing time telling duties today instead. Its not been dropped or knocked (to my knowledge)and was working yesterday so I'm not sure whats happened. I'm hoping when I get home I can wind it properly and see whether that makes any difference but it doesn't look good.

Just to clarify this isn't the 'moon watch' but its little automatic cousin with the 3220 movement.

Now Omega seem to want £550 for a service which seems a bit much, has anyone got any recommendations for an alternative in London? I'd rather not send it anywhere at the moment if possible.

Give Brendan a note on https://webwatchmaker.com/

Based in Devon - Strip the OSMR to watch only and its a tenner (x2) with RM Special Delivery.

He has serviced a number of my watches including my OSMR. 2 to 3 weeks typically.

Very well regarded on the TZ.UK Forums.

or try Darius in September when he's back from holiday. Based in Ealing and learned his trade on the eta 775x family, which the speedmaster movement is based on.
