Finally found a Tissot Janiero z199

After 3 years I finally got won an auction for a z199

They had always been around the 1800 mark on ebay but the prices kept creeping up and I kept missing the few times they came up for sale. However I managed to snag one for 2300 a few weeks ago and love it (even if a bit smaller than expected)!
But my ebay alerts still send me when they come up for sale, and one recently sold for 8000? And another came on ebay for 8200?
Seems... well unusual... do you think someone is trying to drive up the prices?? I mean its nice and rare, but it's not 8K worth of watch.. .
