How hard/ easy to find a Rolex Yachtmaster 2?

My buddy's 40th birthday coming up and his Mrs wants to get him a YM2 as a surprise.

Any chance of finding one in stock with Rolex or are they long waiting list only/ grey market/ 2nd hand?

If anyone has seen one; let me know please! Even a good value, unworn grey market watch.

My next watch! Tried one on a couple of weeks ago at my AD when picking up a new GMT (nearly buckled and bought both!!). Will enquire if it’s still there, but suspect it won’t be.

I'm not up with the various Yacht-Masters, never looked at them before, but Wow! I had a look in the Cambridge Mappin & Webb window on Saturday, and they've an Everose model with black strap. I thought it looked gorgeous, for what it's worth.

Certainly one of the best Rolexes out there. And relatively easy to get.

Yacht-master and Yacht-master ll are very easy to get hold of, you should be able to walk into most ADs and get one that day.

I think Lord Sugar was wearing one of these on last weeks apprentice, instead of his old Daytona he's now had for a couple of years (which he wore on this years first episode).

I met him in the lift at the leadenhall building at the end of the day finishing the interviews a couple of years ago. Nice chap. Nice watches!

Think we got one, brand new, dealer, RRP etc at the local shop! That was easier than expected!
