I have fitted a deployment clasp to the leather straps on a few of my watches . I like the idea and ease of use. The problem is that if I bend my wrist over into the full Larry Grayson position then the folded skin on my wrist pushes against the release leaver enough to undo the mechanism. I know I'm deformed but it doesn't fill me with confidence whilst wearing the watch. I have tried several different clasps and some are worse than others but they all do it. Any recommendations please.

Oops. I meant DEPLOYANT clasp!!!!! (Before someone presses the nuke button)

I have a couple. I have to really force my hand down in order for them to open like that, never had any issues in daily wear but I only have them on two dress watches.

You can buy a virtually identical clasp which doesn't have release buttons; it simply clips in and out: https://www.cousinsuk.com/product/butterfly1

I have one of each type from Cousins and stick to the one without the buttons. I don't find it pops open on its own, just that the release buttons dig in and leave a mark on the underside of my wrist.

I'd recommend the cousins butterfly clasp too. Got them on a few watches, and never had one pop open accidentally.

I see that even Cousins list them as "Deployment" clasps rotate

On the subject of deployant clasps as I'd like to avoid the issue OP was having, has anyone got experience with Hirsch watch straps and their clasps?
