Saw one today in a pawnbrokers window, £5.3k, reasonable or not? Assuming a service needed still seems a trifle on the low side?

Wasn’t on the label/price stuff in the window, was just idle curiosity as it seemed relatively cheap in the current market.

Personally I'm very anti pawnbroker. There's a good chance it's nicked / cobbled together from other watches. It may well be legit but there will probably be a good reason why it's in a pawnbrokers and not in a genuine jewellers window. It's your money but I'd rather spend the extra and buy from a family jeweller or regarded watch outlet than run your real risk of funding crime and possibly running into issues later in your ownership.

Stand easy Royal, not actually buying, just wondering if it was actually cheap.

Thanks for the input all.

Ha! No worries.

I just hate the buggers. We've got one trying to open near me at the moment and you only have to scratch a little below the surface to see what's going on

Depends what year, model and condition.

Dom Hackett has a 1993 14060 Sub with full set and just serviced by Rolex for £5750, which makes the pawnbroker's watch look pricey.
