Popped into my local AD this afternoon and tried one on, lovely thing but I didn't buy it as I think I prefer the Black Bay red bezel. Going to ponder this over the weekend. Nice to be offered one though, given they have quite big waiting lists in some places.
Also interested to note they had a couple of Daytonas in stock - rose gold and a bi metal, I've not seen anything other than a white gold one in the window this year until now. Apparently Rolex stock is coming through quite well at present.

It’s the steel stuff that seems to be unobtainable presently.
The dealers in Bordeaux had two Tudor GMTs in when I was there in September. So does appear to be a country supply/demand issue at first glance. They’re lovely by the way, and I’d have had one if I didn’t already have a BLNR for that role.

That's interesting! I'm on a couple of short-ish lists (relatively speaking) but haven't heard anything yet. Will be pleased if hey do start to get more stock in.. Went back to the AD this afternoon but had a 'moment' - my wife's fashion watch broke a couple of days ago and I suddenly felt obligated to buy her a new watch rather than buy a third watch for myself this year! Cartier had my money this time.
Amusingly, after I presented it to her she asked (with a smirk) "so what did you get then?). It seems I may as well have treated myself after all!
