I think the concensus is that the seller was a Jeweller on the IOW who had the MOD contract to repair the watches for the RN....He probably has a box full of removed bezels etc and obviously did not know the true value.......If i was the buyer I think i would be inclined to share the windfall with the original seller.....

Share, as in maybe a grand. I doubt the seller has shared his fortunate purchases over the years.
