Hi
I just wondered if anyone had been able to get one of these yet. It was announced last year and shows on the longines website, but haven't seen any yet.
I put my name down for one and latest suggested availability is February. just wonder why its been delayed so long, is it that popular

Nothing to contribute regarding the Longines but researching it led me down a rabbit hole of WW2 reissue watches, and the discovery of a new company called Ubique out of Swansea.

I'd link the website but they don't have one just yet! I'll put up a photo below.

I do like that Longines a lot (not so struck on the Ubique - the colours don't work for me).

I bought this last year and fitted a custom strap.

One of my favourites in my collection.

Bulova also do this.

I've been keeping my eye on these too and read on another fourm (can't remember which) that the delay might be due to Longines redesigning the dial to get rid of the fake patina dots after poor public reaction to an otherwise well received design.

That's interesting, ill wait to see what arrives then.
I rang Longines support to see if any idea of supply. they were very vague and the lady only said supply is limited and the demand is high so didn't tell me anything really. couldn't tell me anything about when they'll arrive in the UK. Not sure why they'd change the face design if demand was high and it still shows the aged look on their website!!

Anyone know any more about this Ubique lot?

Looks nice, but am unsure if there worth the £250 - £500 depending in movement.

Also not sure how a modern 43mm take is going to look after comprison with the originals we have.

Anyone cast a more exterienced eye over their instagram page?

The market has moved to a bigger-faced watch so I can understand why Ubique have made that decision. I would imagine that a bigger case makes packaging the movement easier (and cheaper).

I’ll keep an eye on their Instagram and update when (if?) their website goes live.

Damn shame. That size is far too big for the style of watch. Great pity. I'd be looking to get one otherwise.

Saw one in the window of Watches of Switzerland in Birmingham today.
No time to stop and look but may well do tomorrow. £1550 sticker price.

Popped in to look....

Very tempting but not tempting enough for me to buy it. Does seem an excellent re-release of the original style of military watch.

Checked T H Baker (another AD just round corner) and they didn't have any. The guy at WoS said this was the only one they were getting but not sure if that was truth or a sales pitch...

Just signed up here but have been on both Rolex and omega forums for ages.

I picked one of these up on Friday. Very nice indeed. Managed a decent discount from my usual AD also. They had it marked up as £1,460 however and the pic above shows £1,550.

The nato included is horrible. I wear it on the leather which is lovely, and it also looks good on a cheap grey nato.

Hi

Thanks for your pics. I does look good, I like the aged look but with the larger 39mm size. I have one on order through jura watches since January. They keep changing the stock date so I may need to cancel and source one through a local ad as it looks like theyre starting to arrive in shops. just out of curiosity , where did u buy yours ?

thanks

Ernest Jones have them on their website, it may be worth calling your local branch to see if they have one. The branch near me seems to have quite a lot of Longines stock in.

There's one in the window in Goldsmiths on New Street. I'm sure you can get the price down.
