Rolex AD Frankfurt airport

Had a bit of time to kill yesterday, so went into the Rolex AD in Frankfurt terminal 2.
After a quick chat it became apparent that they had a sub date stashed in the back.
Unfortunately, they wouldn’t sell it, because I didn’t have a relationship with them! There’s me thinking the airport ADs were a bit more pot luck.
After a bit of banter they actually said I could buy it.........if I spent 10,000 Euro on something else.
I know the drill, but this stuff is so irritating.
