Smart Watch - For Kids

My little boy will be 10 soon and he needs a new watch.

Anyone bought their kids a smart watch with a tracker?

He doesn't have a phone yet so I would be looking for one that works independently/has its own sim - if they exist. As he is getting older, we will have to start giving him a bit more independence soon, so may as well get one so I can keep an eye on him.

Any experience/recommendations?
