Tag Heuer Automatic watch battery change?

I consider myself fairly clued in to watches but a colleague at work who i trust is telling me at least what they believe to be the truth has told me that he has a Tag automatic watch which needed a battery change.

Apparently his watch has a small battery to kick start the automatic movement, does this sound right?

Personally i have never heard of something like this from Tag, i have done a quick google search but also came up with nothing.

Has he be done or is this something new I’m about to learn?

Sounds unrealistic to me. If you get a chance to see it, you'll be able to find out if it is automatic or quartz.

Found out the watch in question it is a Tiger Woods ltd edition link.

Think the guy has been mislead, was hoping to learn something new and all I learned is that some people con others out of money which to be fair is something I already knew.

Sadly seems that way. It is an automatic so no battery as you know.
