1972(?) Omega Constellation
Discussion
I have dug out my father’s old Constellation with a view to selling it, but am struggling to identify the exact model. It’s stainless steel, and I believe in basically original condition. It is working but gains time rapidly and clearly needs a service.
As it is I suspect it is only worth around £250, perhaps less, unless anyone knows differently? Any knowledge of this model or comments as to value, desirability (or lack of!) are most welcome. Thanks.

Relativly straightforward to find comparible watches - this link has ref number for equivalent:

And there’s one from Japan on eBay currently -

Value is tricky due to service required, realistically it’s not going to be worth more than £500 serviced and through Omega that’s gonna set you back over £400. If someone can get it done for half that and loves the watch you might get lucky at £200-£250ish, ultimately although less desirable it’s still an Omega!

Thank you that’s very helpful. The watch in the first link is basically identical to mine, apart from the cream coloured dial and the slightly larger metal Omega name on the face where mine is printed like the rest of the text. It’s interesting how many subtle variations there are within model lines.https://www.wristmenwatches.com/en/vintage-omega-c...

The eBay link is also very close but without the luminous hands on mine. You’d think the seller would have cleaned the gunge off before advertising!

I might be interested. I used to collect older Omegas. How long is the bracelet and is it 'stretched'?
The bracelet is approximately 21.5 cm long fully open and it has two links that have a visible pin for adjustment. Would be happy to discuss over pm if you would like any more details.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
