Junghans Mac Bills broken "glass"
Discussion
That'll be a plexi glass if it's the watch I'm thinking of. They scratch easily but can be polished with Polywatch, and replaced inexpensively by a local watchmaker if you're happy with a near-identical crystal by a maker like Sternkreuz.
Not much can be done to make them scratchproof sadly!

Check to see if the plexi glass has the Sicralan scratch proof coating, if so, do not try polishing it, because it won’t.. The coating was on my Max Bill Chronograph but I still tried, but sadly ended in failure. I ordered a new one from Jura £38 they fitted it £15

One of my favourite watches on my (current) wishlist. I've always wondered how resilient the plexiglas is though.Edited by hilly10 on Sunday 24th March 21:43

I had one of these for about 5/6 years.Cracked it towards the end of that time - no idea how.
I took it to their repair centre on a road just behind Regent Street. They repaired it then and there for about £30.

I've had a Chronoscope for a year or so and it's a favorite. I love the look and feel of it (even the quirky "loud" movement) and I've had no issues with the glass but I am very careful and don't wear it in any conditions where it may be vulnerable.
Very wise.I marked my glass just by catching it on a metal door frame while walking by
