This looks to me to be the same model...

New, list £2920, sale £2600...
https://www.goldsmiths.co.uk/Omega-Seamaster-Diver...

This is never worn £2910
https://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Omega/Seamaster%2030...

This is used 5 years old £2550
https://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Omega/Seamaster%2030...

I saw another used version on Saturday for £2295 if I bought it then and there, it was going in the window at £2500 else.

So you can buy a new watch at sale or haggle price for the price of a used on Watchfinder...am I missing something or is Watchfinder taling the mickey?

Watchfinder have been a bad joke for quite a while now.

I would never consider using them or tell anyone else to.

The price on WF is their starting point, 10-15% off is not usually out of the question.

I’d be looking for about 15% off a new Seamaster assuming it isn’t a special edition that is actually halfway special.

goldsmiths model is discounted cos its the end of the line - seamaster is returning to the wave pattern on the dial, but i think the new wave pattern is too heavy handed.

I would be careful looking at the Seamaster 300 Diver.

There are a few about and was looking to deal at a Duty Free shop over the weekend but would not play ball;

1. Pricing on the new laser etched OSM300D £3600 (£3000 DF)
2. Pricing on the same in C24 (about 2990 - 3100)
3. Pricing on the older non-METAS models (2400 - 2800)
4. Pricing on the new models post Baselworld (up and possibly revised spec)

Seems a lot of NOS around with prices a little high compared to the new model? Then again, one could argue why take the new model for only specs when an almost identical older watch is discounted from the get go. Pays yer money..........

I’d be looking at a blue-faced Orient Mako, or one of those funky Helm dive watches with the Seiko movement, but then my pockets aren’t as deep as yours.

To use the dive watch analogy, if your pocket is rated to 300m, I wouldn’t even shower in mine.

Or something like that.

I was gifted a Seamaster 7 years ago for my 50th. Much prefer the wave pattern on it . Less than 1500 then, the price increase since is not justified (except zilch interest on savings so but watches etc instead !)
