Just wanted to put another positive review for Joe up here.

He's just repaired my omega seamaster pro which I got for my 21st but developed a fault several years ago. I put off having it repaired due to cost and not being able to find someone I could trust the job to.

A quick chat with Joe on the phone and I was confident enough to send it to him.

He quickly identified the fault and the service cost and repair were very reasonably priced. I was happy enough by this stage to send another watch in while mine was mid repair which Joe is currently still on with.

What I'm especially impressed by is his liking of keeping originality in watches, from wear etc. My watch was looking a bit tired, but I didn't want it polishing within an inch of its life and losing all the definition. He's done a very sympathetic cosmetic resto leaving some deeper marks in but also leaving all the sharp lines and features in. Exactly what I asked for.

Highly recommended and if you read this Joe you will be getting more work from me. Collected my watch from the sorting office this morning and wore it all morning before I got to the workshop. I expect it will be getting worn to death again now.

With me circa 3 weeks I think? Maybe a touch more, but I made it clear I wasn't in a rush and just wanted the job done right. I then complicated it by sending another watch in too. My watch needed a part which had to be ordered. I know Joe's very busy but I was surprised how quick he got my first watch back to me.

It might have fallen in one of the cracks in his windscreen - the poor bugger keeps having his car vandalized by the local scrotes!

Just had another done this weekend apparently. I really felt for him when he told me.

He's had two of mine since before Christmas. I must get round to checking that he is still actually alive!

There is a message on his website saying he had a heart attack last November and has altered his working hours.

I spoke to Joe on Friday and after a brief chat about what I wanted done, I sent the watch special delivery and it arrived Saturday.

He called me Saturday afternoon with the price of the job. Very reasonable I thought - please proceed. He has to order a part from the maker but said it should be about a week.

Pretty good I think
