Hi

My girlfriends Junghans Max Bill watch needs a new crystal installed. It was already fairly scratched up but the other day the crystal cracked as someone stepped on it rolleyes . The case and bracelet etc seem to be undamaged.

I'd rather not have to send it back to Junghans in Germany for a new crystal. Can anyone recommend a repeatable watch maker that could source and fit a new crystal? I would rather get a non Sicralan coated replacement so it can be polished with polywatch when it inevitably gets scratched again.

Thanks!

I believe Variomatic on here comes highly recommended. I have heard that more than once, so he appears to be repeatable.

Thank you for this recommendation. I sent the max bill to him, it arrived with him on Saturday morning. It was repaired and already back in the post for the return leg within only a couple of hours. Arrived at my house on Monday.

Couldn't believe how quickly he did the job. I've got it back and it looks brand new. Also, a plus that it's now wearing an aftermarket aryclic cyrtsal which can be touched up with polywatch when it inevitably gets scratched again at some point.

Cost me £40 including a new battery and return postage. Exceptional service. Will not hesitate to use him again for any servicing etc.
