I've had a Seiko SKX for a couple of years and the bezel is coming loose, I can lift it up and create a gap between it and the main body of the watch and likewise it rattles if tapped. I took it into my local watch repair shop but they said contact a Seiko dealer which I suspect will charge more than the watch is worth.

Is this a simple DIY fix or can anyone recommend someone to repair it in the UK?

Thanks, Harry

I've got a couple of SKX and one has a very tight bezel, the other much looser.

Out of curiosity I popped the bezel off (easy to do with a knife) and found that slightly bending the tangs on the spring tightened the loose one a little, however there is an 'O' ring in there that I believe makes it a tight fit and would think these could wear making the bezel looser?

If so, changing the 'O' ring and/or spring is definitely a DIY.

Coincidently I was watching a YouTube video last night by 'Just One More Watch' and he has a simple tutorial for the SKX

This is a good account of how to pop off a bezel and the parts needed to repair....Its really simple...if you need a new bezel O ring I may have a new one kicking about...if not i certainly have the Cousins part number ...they are pennies.......
