Excellent service from Chris Ward
Discussion
Three years ago, I bought each of my sons their first "proper" watch - a pair of Chris Ward C60 Trident 600 Pro - one 38mm black face / red bezel and one 43mm white face / black bezel.
Eldest son still has his, and occasionally wears it, giving most wrist time to an Apple watch.
Youngest son very much liked his and it put him on the road to getting into decent watches. Less than a year later, he bought a Submariner, but had to sell the Chris Ward to fund it. Whilst he loves the Sub, he bitterly regrets selling the Trident and has struggled to find one to replace it. A few came up recently in the Clearance section of the Chris Ward website, but were snapped up in minutes.
So - I thought I'd try a long shot. I emailed the customer services representative that I dealt with in 2016, only to get a reply from Chris Ward himself, saying that they had completely sold out of the Mk2 Trident and weren't going to be making any more. However, Chris agreed to have a look down the back of the sofa and somehow managed to come up with one. I don't really know if this was freshly made from a stock of spares, or whether it was being held back as a possible replacement for a warranty claim - I'm not at all bothered.
Youngest son was already chuffed that one was available and then they offered to apply the same discount as the handful that were sold via the Clearance section - double-chuffed
So - a big public thanks to Christopher Ward for customer service way above and beyond the call of duty

Similar story - several years ago when CW first started making watches I bought a quartz Peregrine C4 PVD in one of their many sales.
Fast forward a few years and it was stolen in a burglary - again it was one of my first proper watches.
I got in touch with CW to see if they could replace via insurance as it had been removed from their current lineup - and as per your post I was told they were no longer available but they had one available that I could have at the same price I paid previously.
It arrived with a personlized letter.
Great customer service.
Such a shame their new log and to be fair other recent logo's really don't tickle my fancy as they make some lovely watches still

‘The son’ here. I endeavour to post pics when it turns up
Re: the logo, I presume my new piece will come with the mk1 logo, and I’d be rather disappointed if it doesn’t. Not at all a fan of the new one - looks a bit groupon for my tastes
Mind you, there’s the chance they’ve built me a watch from spares simply because we asked nicely, so I shan’t complain.

I bought the Elite model about 3 months ago and was initially 'wow'd but there were quality problems and couldn't get over the fact that they sent a watch out with said problems. I returned it for a refund (yes I could've asked for a replacement but frankly these quality issues put me off) and there was no quibble about it.
