ETA Found it-Ellesse! Sometimes just writing it down is enough :-)

I don’t know whether they exist anymore. Sports “lifestyle” type watch sold in high street jewellers in the 90s.

Often had a blue leather strap and marketing pics often of people swimming.

Definitely started with a “e” and had an s, a c and a p but it wasn’t “eclipse” but something like it.

Any ideas, it’s driving me mad!

ETA Might have started with Ess...

Thanks for helping, driving me mad that was. I don’t know why but I had a real thing for these back in the day and would often stare admirably at them in shop windows.

They look like cheap tat now though hehe

I bought my OH an Ellesse watch back in the day, probably was early 90s.

Other than a battery every few years, it hasn't missed a beat - still looks good, still keeps accurate time, still keeps the water out.

On the grounds she still seems to love the thing, it probably goes down as one of my better buys.
