Any horologists in the house?
Discussion
I was looking for a vintage hand wind movement to fit into a watch I have, and came across this on ebay. I've bought it, but can't seem to find out much about it.
The seller was very honest and stated that he doesn't give any gaurentee, but described this as the balance wheel spinning freely? Does this mean it's working? Is this a complete watch movement or are there parts missing? Apart from the obvious stem and crown.... Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks

I’m one.
Don’t touch it, it’s low quality, very unlikely to fit and has bits missing. Can’t see an end stone on the balance cock so even if it moves it won’t for long, or in other positions.
Edit: I’ve just seen you bought it. Oops
Thanms for the feedback. I only paid around a fiver for it, so no great loss. I have messaged seller to cancel. Whether he does or not is up to him I suppose... My search goes on!
I've bought a fully working Swiss fhf-73 17 jewel movement for the princely sum of £6 odds from ebay. I plan to try and fit it into my cheapass eaglemoss fifty Fathoms copy... Might work, might not work, but at 5 quid for the watch and 6 quid for the movement, if nothing else it'll keep me busy for an hour or so... Will surely be on to ask questions about stem extenders and movement holders once I get the movement in.
