Hi All,
thinking about pulling the trigger on blue dial 36mm datejust on jubilee bracelet. However before I do wanted to see if there are any other options similar?? Would love to see some alternatives if possible.
Happy to buy new or used, budget to about £5.5k, steel bracelet and around 36-38mm in size.
Over to you guys.............thanks Howard

Is a date important? 36-38mm may also seem quite small depending on what you're used to wearing. As an example, I tried on a Tudor Black Bay 36 the other day and it felt tiny.

Very nice watches, but now feel quite dainty.

I’ve got one, bought when they weren’t dainty; daughter now wears it.

The watch hasn't shrunk, so I'm guessing both you and your daughter now have bigger wrists.

Maybe his tastes have changed over time (along with most of the watch-buying public)?

Thanks so far. Currently wear a `99 Omega Dynamic which is 38mm which fits just right on a steel bracelet. I think the 36mm Datejust wears a bit bigger so should be fine.
Saw the Hodinkee vid a few weeks ago - thats what really got me back into that sizing.
Anything else?

Probably true for me!

I think as said above, tastes have changed a little, and the Rolex I’m now buying have certainly got much more heft to them; I like a bit of heft...

Original Explorer could be worth considering, or the Tudor BB 36 / 41. The Tudors are not for me but lots of people love them and they're great value.
