JLC Master Compressor Chronograph vs Speedmaster Chrono

I am looking to buy my wife a Chrimbo watch and have been looking at pre-owned watches with a bit of bling.
She has quite big wrists and likes men's Chronos (she has a Maurice Lacroix Chrono at the moment). Both the JLC and the Omega have the set diamonds I know she will like.
Both are around £4k at reputable dealers.
I am leabing towards the JLC but which would you choose, or do you have alternative suggestions based on something which will have some bling and keep some value?
