Can someone please recommend me a half-way decent one here in the UK?

I don't want one of the dodgy ones from the East where you need to change the plug, but neither do I want a titanium/gold-plated one :-)

Many thanks

I purchased one of these, it works well and is battery powered....

Used in conjunction with the “Lepsi” app on my iPhone to confirm it was doing the job.

Brilliant many thanks. I like the idea of an app for this too.

Excuse my ignorance but what is this for?

Or rather, how do things become magnetised?
Here you go, hope that helps

This is particularly helpful. I'm building a watch at the moment and found out that the case clamps have become magnetised. Christ knows how, but not a good thing to have anywhere near a balance wheel.
