I’ve asked this in a thread I started on changing the movement in my Klokers KLOK-01 but perhaps it merits a separate question.

The watch needed a new (quartz) mechanism. The original one was a Ronda “763R”, which I couldn’t find reference to anywhere. A standard 763 looked the same though, so I have bought one and fitted it, to realise that the watch now runs backwards. D’oh.

It’s obvious with hindsight that the discs need to turn anti-clockwise.

So, is it possible to reverse the direction of a quartz movement like this? Or buy a reversed one somehow? I can’t see anywhere from an online search, and the Kickstarter company I got the watch from has disappeared. I could ask the new company that is selling much the same thing, however when I approached them for a replacement plastic lens they were more keen to do me a good deal on a replacement watch (the design may have changed a bit).

It's certainly not a common item. The only possibility I can find is a seller on ebay.fr who has 10 for sale:

No idea how you might get on with importing it though.

That’s great, thanks - I hadn’t spotted those. 55 euros though, instead of a fiver for a normal one!! I’ll have a think to see if it’s worth paying that.

I suspect reversing the battery wouldn’t be successful, I must admit it had crossed my mind!
