Found this Garrard watch at the bottom of a box
Discussion
So after recently moving house, I have been unpacking boxes and found this old watch that has been in my garage for many years. It's from a distant relative who shares my surname (I will have to ask my dad who he was) and as hopefully can be read in the picture was presented to him in 1963 for 25 years service at Vauxhall.
I have given it a quick wind and it still works perfectly. I don't know much about it but will definitely be keeping better care of it from now on!

Similar one here but presented to a Ford employee.

Garrard appear to haven been the go to choice for long service watches. It's hard to find one without an inscription.
Looks like a stainless steel back on the OPs watch, which means gold plate rather than solid gold.
I like Garrards, they used to be a bit of a bargain on ebay. Not so any more, but then I guess that's true of all watch brands on ebay!
