Hi all.

I want to buy a smart/fitness tracker watch for work.
One that it wouldn’t bother me if I marked it.
I’ve seen the Huawei band 4, Reflex active series 1, Honor band 5, Nuband active, Nuband flash.
Cost between £29.99- £39.99.

Has anyone got one of these or could recommend me a watch similar to these.

Thanks for any help.

Regards.

Dave.

I have one of these https://www.chinesesmartwatches.com/no-1-dt-x-smar... for this purpose at the price you don't mind if it gets bashed. Had it for about 34 months and its performing well. Best part is I only charge it about every 3 weeks. Cost me about £20.

Thanks for replies guys.

What are the straps on those watches like.

I brought a watch from flea bay late last year, similar strap on the first reply.

Broke in about 3 months.

the strap on mine was OK'ish but I replaced it with a leather one I had on another watch. So chant say it won't snap.

Mi straps are widely available, loads of styles to choose from and cost from £3 for a standard style, plenty on ebay.

I've got the Honor Band 5, use it for fitness tracking, seems to work well and integrates with Google Fit nicely. I've had it a year and still seems like new. It's got heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, and notifications come through so you can decide whether to pick up your phone. Battery lasts a week.

The Mi band batteries last about a month, but don't seem to be as well equipped.

My wife has an Huawei Honor band 5 and I am experiencing an issue now the clocks have changed. My wife has recently had a new mobile phone and I am trying to sync it to the Honor in order to update the time. However, when I try and sync it the Huawei health app says a new version of the app is required. This apparently isn’t done via the normal app update method but requires a download from within the app itself. Google appears to be blocking this update because it says it is potentially unsafe. Would it be unsafe to install this download or am I better off looking for an alternative fitness tracker? Thanks very much for any advice

A thread for me at last.

I think I need a smart watch and have looked at £50 to £500 but apart from Samsung, Apple and a couple of others, there's no shop these days where you can see (and feel) lots of different models.

Amazfit look great in pictures but many reviews talk of how cheap they look and feel in reality.

What I really need is a fitness tracker, preferably connecting to Google Fit, that I can wear without the phone.

Then it updates once near the phone. Is this a thing?

It's fine, it's because Huawei have been kicked off the the Play Store by the Yanks.

Thanks. Have done the update and it seems fine. Hopefully Beijing isn’t that interested in her step count.
