I used these guys for a service on a Tag and they did a great job - kept me updated by email at every stage of the service and returned it looking basically as good as new.

Am also going to send them my Rolex to service and refurb.

Michael Jones in the town centre can service Rolexes.

Sorry edited to add this is also a recommendation. I have bought from and had services from there (Rolex and Breitling).

Something to consider, if perhaps you don’t have the original papers, having Rolex service it you’ll get an official Rolex service warranty card back with it; undoubtedly the next best thing and will add to the value of the watch, either way.

Ditto as above. If you never intend to sell us a recommended watch person

Just to follow up this, I would no longer recommend this company anymore. I have been waiting for 14 weeks for them to service my Rolex, with zero contact (unlike my previous experience with the Tag - I’m not sure why their contact levels have reduced so drastically).

They said it would be ready towards the end of October but I had to chase them several times and then finally last week they admitted it will be another 6 weeks due to delay on parts / the polishers have a backlog and they need to polish it first before finishing the service.

So, a total of 20 weeks (5 months) to service it!

All in all, I think the price would probably have been the same with Rolex direct and I suspect a lot quicker - so I didn’t feel able to continue to recommend them.

But the idea of “refreshing” the paperwork if you don’t have it is a good one!

I missed this thread first time around, but nice to see a recommendation for Watchworks, thank you. (Owned by my stepfather)

Speaking with Rocco (Watchworks) recently, there have been long delays with Rolex Switzerland getting parts into the country. Rocco usually has a 2 week turnaround (jobs booked in advance of this, with a phone call when you’re near the front of the queue) but had a number of watches still ‘on the bench’ awaiting parts.

There’s no excuse for poor communication, and 5 months is extreme, but there is an issue that even Rolex UK are facing. It’s not that they’re hoarding here, there’s simply no supply. Polishing backlog seems like poor organisation though, frustrating to still be in a backlog after 14 weeks?!

Used him a few times for Rolex servicing. Much quicker turnaround and much more competitive pricing. Did a good job every time and it came back looking great. However that was well before the current crazy market. Now I’d think a bit harder about it given that a genuine Rolex service with associated papers is now a legit value add that more than pays for itself.

Watchguy.co.uk I used for my Datejust, circa £250 and got all the parts back that were swapped out, even got about 100 photos of it in bits.

The selling point was the fact I could track the job online.
