Interesting to see that following the recent rumours, the Tudor site is now doing a countdown for a reveal of something on the back of the collaboration with MN earlier in the year.

All the rumours point to it being a revised, smaller Pelagos, but interested to see what it turns out to be.

Having deliberated over a watch purchase this year, I'm almost entirely certain that my next will be a Tudor, or an Omega Aqua Terra spin

So keen to see what this turns out to be.

Hopefully it will be something good and freely available.

For me, the appeal of the Pelagos is the size. It’s a robust chunk of a thing. There’s multitude of Black Bays that are more delicate.

I have a Pelagos and a 1970s snowflake sub. I have stopped wearing huge watches and now prefer the size of the snowflake. I don’t however like the black bays (although would like to try a silver one) but hope this new model might tick all the boxes for me.

Fashion is moving towards a smaller watch so not surprising that they're downsizing the Pelagos.

I saw that, feels a bit like they've taken a step forward in reducing the text on the dial and then taken two backwards by making the bezel busier.

I hope the bezel alignment is better than in that photo.

It's a bezel style [full minutes] more associated with the military diving aspect - see Mil Sub / normal sub.

Good point, and links to the MN side I guess.

Might put me back on a BB58 Navy or BB36 in that case.

The minute hand also looks bang on 10 while the seconds are on 30. I know that is purely a setting thing but still. It’s obviously a posed photo so why can’t they manage the details?

On a slightly related note the Beckham connection with Tudor is a problem for me.

I'm undecided, like the watch and the fabric strap but think I would like the option of a bracelet and the ability to mix it up with different straps in the future.

I like it. But yep would like a steel strap and I’d prefer it in black.

And it’s the same size as the existing Pelagos…

At least it doesn't add to my indecision.

But surprisingly has a lower water resistance rating of 200m versus the 500m of the normal Pélagos.

It’s the same diameter but it’s thinner. It’s not a dive watch with the bidirectional retrograde bezel anyway.

A niche option I reckon.

I think it's alright, it's a nice collaboration but I;m not blown away, I don't think I'd choose this over a regular Pelagos.
