Junghans Mega 1000 Rubber Strap

One of the last gifts I received from my Mum before she passed away was this watch.

Previously wore it daily but got out of the habit whilst working from home and on returning to it, the strap snapped on the first wear (it's around six years old).

Seems like Junghans have stopped making these and on contacting them they put me in touch with a UK dealer who could only offer a leather replacement. Have tried a few other stockists but haven't gotten very far and the strap seems to be out of stock everywhere online.

Before I commit to swapping to a leather strap does anyone have any idea of a third party alternative I could perhaps try?

Looks like I need a 24mm lug width but I'm oblivious to the significance of the "special lug ends".






Lug width: 24 mm (B), special lug ends (see graphic)
Strap width: approx. 32 mm (A)

That is a unique strap, I don’t think you’re going to have any luck with a 3rd party replacement.

I’d be looking for a bracelet too, will get lots more life out of a bracelet than the leather.

Maybe just getting the leather and keeping an eye on any stock coming up will be my best option in the short term.
