Hi everyone.
I quite fancy getting a vintage Rolex from my year birth.
What I would like to ask is, could someone point me in the right direction as to where abouts I can oxtail one.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Regards.
Dave.

But take a look at Chrono24 to see what’s available, you can filter by year.
I would recommend a Datejust - I have an 84 birth year.

I think you are just going to have to trawl the usual sites - Blowers, Watch finders etc. You could also try a want to buy on somewhere like tz-forums or here.
I've got a GMT from round then but I cant remember the exact year!
Give Chrono24 a go as you can filter to any specific year. I've got a GMT from round then but I cant remember the exact year!

I bought a 1965 submariner for my 50th . I spent ages ensuring the watch I bought was correct for the year ( face , crown etc ) as the faces changed around that period and there are a lot of errors in the "history " of face changes related to serial numbers . I quite fancy getting a vintage Rolex from my year birth.

Depends how anal you want to be but I ended up with a 2nd quarter 1965 watch so born about the same time as me , with all papers . Mine came from ebay , by chance .
Chrono 24 is a good place to look

I’m not sure anything can “ruin” an already crap thread…

There’s a shop in the Burlington Arcade in London that sells vintage Rolex by year - they have a chronological display in their window. Dare say they’ll be online.
The watch shops in Burlington Arcade must sell 99% of their items to very wealthy tourists. The prices are nuts. You're better off going with Mike Wood at http://www.theoldwatchshop.com/ or asking Dominic Hatchet https://www.hackettwatches.com/ to keep an eye out for you.
