A good way to while away 50 mins. I thought it was an interesting interview with Ed, who loves his watches. The John Mayer "Talking watches" episodes are both mind blowing if you haven't seen them yet.

Watched it yesterday. Good chat, like the format. He is clearly passionate about watches.

It’s good to see Clymer back at the coal face. In my opinion Hodinkee has really lost its way since he stepped back into the shadows.

Sheeran clearly has the bug and I enjoy how he, like John Mayer, actually wear these things rather than storing them in safes.

As for the conversation itself - it was a window into the ‘other’ world but I get bored pretty easily when it’s just overtaken by out-quoting Patek reference numbers at one another and casually dropping in how many AP’s one has. That sort of stuff just doesn’t interest me but that’s my problem on that side of things.

It does, very quickly, get into totally abstract interest for me. I thought Ed did a pretty good job of getting across the stories he connects to his watches.

As much as Ben likes to make it out like he is perplexed at how watches have become largely a conversation about money, it doesn't wash with me. Likewise with all this noise about 'Hey Ed Sheeran had to wait for a Tiffany Nautilus so it's not all fun and games up here guys'... I mean, come on.

Ben is an ex-big house finance guy, he knows exactly how these things work and has been a huge driver, both personally and professionally, of why the market is how it is.

Even HNW people have to wait for stuff shocker hehe

Truely a man of the people (if by people we mean those who have a direct contact within one of the worlds most famous jewellers!)

I like how he buys his people watches though, and how he marks a tour or album with a certain watch. His Talking Watches should be good.

Yea, Kelly with Patek is a star, great gal, and has an excellent sense of hearing.

I like him a little less after this "I don't have a phone" lark

Good watch, nonetheless
