Picked this up today, it was cheap so I couldn't resist.

Just struggling to ID it properly there are so many of them. Closest I got was a monster ice or snow?

Looks dodgy never seen a Monster with that crown.

Also bezel number fonts look bad especially the 12 lume pip.

Where did you find it?

The crown doesn’t look like a Gen 1 crown, the hands maybe too? Is it a mod?

Driving along today and saw a sign for an indoor table top sale so called in. An old couple had it in a cabinet for sale.
I will get a picture of the back when the light is better.

That’s fun. I like it, even if it’s not right.

It has made me smile to myself at the thought of the old couple in a nice area acting all innocent selling a snide watch.

I bet as soon as I had gone another one appeared in their presentation case.

Parts of it look as though they came from a Monster, if that helps.

The 7s26 movement was used in the original Monsters (I can't see if the dial says 7s26 at the bottom), but the dial looks "wrong", as the lume is thinly applied, and Mark 1 Monster lume looks as though it's been applied with some sort of earth-moving equipment. Skilfully applied, but there's a lot of it. Seiko didn't hold back on the lume.

The dial looks slightly too "creamy" for a Monster, although that could be the photo. It isn't an Ice Monster dial.

And the hands are wrong for a Mark 1 Monster. The "fins" on the hour hand are more exaggerated, and if you line up the minute and hour hands, you can see a space rocket.

And that isn't a Monster crown, so whatever you do, don't assume that it's watertight!

I don’t think so, someone has gone to some effort to make that.

It does say 7s26 at the bottom of the dial.

The indices look very flat, to my eyes. Might just be perspective, but they do look flat. I'm betting the lume will be ste, certainly in comparison to an actual Monster, which has among the best lume performance at any price.

Look at the top bezel marker, it's very rough as are the rest of the bezel markers, and the hands aren't right either.

As has been said, that's not a monster crown.

Hope you didn't spend much on it. Can you take it back?

Edit: Even the word SEIKO is out of kilter hehe

(sorry to piss on your chips, btw frown )

Think I'd be tempted to knock that lume pip off.

I wonder what movement it has, does it hack? Someone might have put an NH36 in there.
