Watch valuation service
Discussion
Ok so looking to get a watch valued based on used market for insurance purposes, is there anywhere someone can recommend in Surrey?
I have spoken to a couple places and Goldsmiths seems to be the most helpful so far, just wanted to see if anyone had first hand experiences.
Thanks

What have you got?
Some pieces are going up almost by the hour, others were a catastrophic purchase seeing 70% or more of the purchase price vanish the moment they paid for it.
If you have the former you want to get like for like cover or acknowledgement of its' value based on similar models you could source to replace it. If the latter, then check the value on chrono24.com so you know what to insure it for - or at least what you'd be likely to get if you needed to claim.

It’s to insure it so the company require proof of value. Some pieces are going up almost by the hour, others were a catastrophic purchase seeing 70% or more of the purchase price vanish the moment they paid for it.

The watch in question is a 2015 BLNR.
Thanks for your reply.
Hmmm... seems to be a thing at the moment (though not sure why).
We're switching insurance companies, and the new ones want a valuation on any single item over £1000 - which includes my papers-and-box Tag Heuer Carrera CV2113 (chrono24 suggested value of up to £2500). Tried the guys who send it off for servicing to Switzerland, but they only have someone in once a month and are always busy (and by bad luck, I've just missed them as they were doing valuations yesterday). Next ones I'd trust have said due to massive influx of valuation requests they are not booking any for four weeks.
Cheshire seems to be sparse on the valuation front!
