Sky Dweller or Sea Dweller...thoughts?
Discussion
Morning
I have been offered a new Sky-Dweller (steel, white face, oyster bracelet) and Sea-Dweller (bi-metal, black face, oyster bracelet). Can't decide, both are new and at retail.
Thoughts?
Think I am drifting to the Sky as its slightly smaller, less cumbersome, and about ~£1,500 less.
Cheers

That depends, do you do most of your dwelling in the sky or the sea?
Ha, mostly ON the sea - if I'm under it then something has gone very wrong! I always find it a little strange, almost walty-esque, seeing non sailors wearing Yachtmasters, non-divers wearing Submariners, non-pilots wearing, well, you get the idea. I know it is just marketing but still seems odd to me.
I know what you mean but I really can't stand the YM - it just screams fat American.
I am more drawn to the pilot watches from an aesthetic point of view/ Lets be honest though how many sub wearers are submariners, yachtmaster wearers are yachtmasters...etc
I also have a Daytona but I've not been there....yet!

Personal preference really id go sof the Sea dweller because I have always preferred diver type watches.
The irony of it all is that I used to go scuba diving fairly reguarly and when I did I never wore a dive watch, I used a proper wrist mounted dive computer which is far more useful

The Sky Dweller is one of my favourite watches, but does need a decent sized wrist!
Go for the Sky Dweller as they’re much harder to get and have a very pleasant resale value. The SD43 is easier to get, should you not bond with the Sky Dweller. I also think the Sky Dweller is the more interesting watch with that cool movement.

The Skydwellers complication / functions are quite incredible, I don’t think I want one but but I don’t think the Seadweller compares (and I have a form of Seadweller)

So surely that is the one which has more relevance to your life? You link to a yachting website in your profile.

Really? It’s a watch, with a clever name thought up by a marketing department. You really are reading too much into it.I always find it a little strange, almost walty-esque, seeing non sailors wearing Yachtmasters, non-divers wearing Submariners, non-pilots wearing, well, you get the idea. OP just buy the watch you like the most, we won’t judge you for not being Sir Francis Drake, or Jacques Cousteau.
