I have just been reading an article about Patrick Getreide and his collection of watches valued at €300 million, some of which will be on display as mentioned in the title. If I'm right, looking at the photos he has 18 Nautilus for example, plus three Patek Philippe, 1518 in rose gold, 2499 with champagne dial and 3970 in gold.He apparently sold a Henry Graves pocket watch for $24 million recently. If you are in London, you might well think of paying a visit:-

Sounds like it'll be interesting and it's free. I'm going to try and allocate some time for a visit.

I visited the museum this evening. It's open until 9pm on a Saturday which is great as I didn't have time to go during the day.

It was a nice exhibition, considering it was free. My only disappointment was that I was expecting a much wider variety of brands on display. It was mostly Patek Philippe and Rolex. I like the quality of those watches but the Patek Philippes, in particular, I find a bit dull. I'd much rather have seen a display of new and vintage Breitlings, but that's just me wink

Here are a few photos. I'd have uploaded many more but Flickr has put a lot of restrictions on the free accounts now frown
