What watch - £8k to spend.
Discussion
Thanks all, apologies some more detail.
Ideally something with a date function as the 58 & R’Master don’t have it.
I have slim wrists so ideally <40mm.
Would like to wear it to work/but nothing flash like (Jubilee bracelets) as I get the tube into the city.
I have considered a Cartier Ronde Solo, but the IWC’s do look great. Have toyed with the idea of a Azzuro Blue DJ/Yachtmaster 37 Rhodium dial.
But welcome any other suggestions!

A couple of subtle FMs suitable for the office

Not meaning to be too offensive but I just can’t get my head around those sort of questions.
Surely you must have a certain preference for style/look of the watch that you would like?
Is there not a piece you always wanted?
Otherwise, perhaps 80 basic G-Shocks?
That would satisfy the requirement of spending 8k and would significantly expand your collection

Maybe spending 8k on something else would be a better idea? Leica camera, Top of the range bicycle, audio system?

Blancpain: https://www.pragnell.co.uk/blancpain-villeret-6651...
JLC: https://www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/gb-en/watches/mas...
Zenith: https://www.chrono24.co.uk/zenith/zenith-captain-c...
Personally I would be looking at used for the Blancpain and JLC as well. Some great bargains to be had. For example, and probably too large for your requirements: https://www.chrono24.co.uk/zenith/el-primero-big-d...

I don't understand your point. The OP has lot of money to spend on a watch. He's not managed to find anything he wants, but he must spend £8K. This is all about having money to spend and trying to find something to spend it on, buying something purely because it's valuable. It's not about seeing something you really want and treating yourself to it, not about buying something because you desire it regardless of it's value. [/tongue in cheek]Surely you must have a certain preference for style/look of the watch that you would like?

Yeah that's antagonistic.Deliberately so, so I won't apologise. Some people think like that (can't really tell if the OP is one), I think they're shallow wallys, but if that's what floats their boat, there's no harm done.

Because atleast once he gives up watch collecting he can reclaim his money. That bike or sound system will go for £50 on ebay by then. Surely you must have a certain preference for style/look of the watch that you would like?
