Hi Guys,

Do you think it would be possible to get this serviced.

It was my grandfathers, and my late dads most treasured possession.

It looks like the name Parker on the face, as to age I’m not totally sure but defiantly older than 1953.

It does work, I have wound it just a few clicks, but don’t want to stress any components.

If possible, I would like to have it serviced so it is in fullly working condition.

Thanks in advance.

it should be relatively easy to get it serviced. if its a std movement you may even get replacement parts if any are needed/worn. If its not then parts may be an issue.

Take it to one of these Watch Hut type places and get a quote.

I've found them pretty competent -

Or Joe at Anglesey W&C.

Facebook seems to be the best way to contact him as his work email is constantly being spammed.

Id second this. It is more Joe's bag than Richard's. too.

I do not like to argue on this sub-forum, but I have to say that the 'Watch Hut' advice was terrible - they will not have a clue what it is or what to do with it. Send it to Joe carefully packed in bubble wrap and in a plastic tub of some type (ice cream or similar) via Special Delivery. Talk first using the Anglesey Watch & Clock FB page 'message me' feature, tell what it is and what you need and take it from there.

Joe has mended Rolex, Omega, Heuer, Seiko and Oris watches for me and I wouldn't entertain sending something like this anywhere else.
