I am looking at various dress watches as an everyday, do everything, all the time watch.
Wondering how a Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control something would hold up.
No scuba diving, or diving out planes but pretty much everything else.

I wore a master hometime daily for about 8 years. The rotor came loose in the first 6 months but after that no issues.

I wear one as a daily.

It’s a really smart dress watch and quite understated.

I don’t wear it in the gym because it doesn’t feel like it would come off well if it got bashed. Other than that, I pretty much wear it all the time.

Other considerations are:

Because the case is quite slim it magnetises very easily. It doesn’t run badly like that, but loses around 10 seconds per day. I only notice because I am a bit obsessive about watch accuracy.

The current model is 39mm which in my opinion is too big for a dress watch. I sought out a 37mm, but you cannot buy them new.

To answer your question, though: Would I wear one as a do everything watch? On a bracelet maybe.

That said, I am looking for an understated sports watch on a bracelet that I can wear on the beach and in the pool. It will allow me to keep the Master Control on a strap and in good condition.

I have a Master Moonphase (or called something similar). It’s impossible to read the time in anything other than decent lighting so I always had to use my phone to check the time.
