Looking for thoughts on a good replacement for my now broken Christopher ward C60 titanium

Like the divers look, usually paired with a nato strap.

Will be wearing it at work (I’m a landscaper so will be open to abuse)

Been looking at the Certina and Hamiltons. Won’t rule out any other brands

Assuming you aren't looking for another Chrstopher Ward and want something new then I can recommend Mido for aound £1k.

Their Ocean Star line has a number of models within budget, although my favourite watch of theirs at the minute is the new Multifort TV Big Date. They offer great quality, finishing and movement for the price point.

The Doxa Sub is also worth considering

And if you are OK with Quartz (might not be a bad idea based on your described use) their are some great deals around at the minute on Longines Hydroconquest watches.

If you're working in it then a Sinn or a Damakso. For £1k is would be secondhand though.

Here's one on a silicone band for a decent saving although I don't know anything about the seller. And another 10% off summer sale.

At < £500 they're a decent choice. A lot better available for £1k though.

I'd be all over a Mondaine at that budget. Not a divers watch, but they're good looking little things

Agree, I've become a bit of a Tissot fan over the past months. Currently have a PRX, PRX Powermatic 80 and a PRS516. Pondering a PRX Chronograph or a Seastar 2000 next. On which point:

https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-seastar-2000-autom...

You'd need to pay the duty in the UK but even with that it's sub 800 quid landed.

Or a UK Source (but I haven't used them!) https://www.francisandgaye.co.uk/tissot-mens-seast... which comes in at £862 with the discount code.

Mondaines often turn up at TK maxx with massive discounts ( I got one myself last year).

This one currently on there at over 70 percent off RRP

As for the OP- Hamilton a good brand at these prices, or for more quirky and colourful I love the Farer range which can generally be had for a grand or so.

I’d consider a Seiko Prospex Land ‘Tortoise’. Almost too far under budget though...? But as a landscaper’s work watch...

Check out Hamilton's range, lots of good sub-£1000 watches there.

OP, I think that Certina you've posted is a cracker. I have the first version DS PH 200, which I really like, but the new 'softer' bezel versions are very classy and great value.

The default answer to your question is usually Longines Conquest, but I reckon the Certina is a brilliant alternative.

My Certina below (with 100 quid Explorer homage..)

They are very smart. Although I prefer the regular Conquest model; I'm sorely tempted by the VHP versions which seem to be available with big discounts at the moment. Yes, I know it's quartz, but it's impressive spec quartz.

I see no issue with quartz personally, especially in a daily wear watch that might take some knocks. Same built quality, considerably cheaper, zero servicing other than a 2 minute battery change and more accurate.

Been wearing my Alpina Seastrong Quartz a lot recently. £1300 for the automatic version, picked my quartz up ex-display for < £300.

That looks fabulous. Damn you, I think I'll be a grand lighter in the near future (other outgoings permitting...)

My votes for Hydroconquest and VHP (got both this year).
