Got a couple of flashy watches (Rolex, Breitling, etc) that I'm just not using, seems a waste to keep them in the safe unworn. What's the easiest and safest way to sell these days? Watch collecting's managed service seems easy with few risks ? Watch finder's margins seem a little too keen for me to consider their trade in values, and I can't be arsed to have them sat on a site like Chrono24. I suppose taking them in to that watch trader guy everyone on here appears to recommend is another possibility but I'm no fan of taking Rolexes into London given it is now a lawless cesspit.

Any views welcome! Thanks

eBay watches get verified now, and they've just got rid of their seller fees. I've had a Breitling up for a week or so and had 3-4 enquires, getting close to what I want, but not quite there yet.

I think I'll give it another week and then give Chrono a go.

Try subdial. Great guys, and have always been fair with me. More so than Watchfinder!

Watchcollecting.com is worth looking at as you will be able to see sold prices. Same with eBay using advanced search.

I’ve sold a few watches to Dominic Hackett in London. No drama or stress, relatively fair pricing but he’s a dealer so you won’t get retail prices. Never had any issues and his reputation is solid.

i have recently used a local watch dealer to sell a 2021 black explorer 2 for me on commission, they achieved what i think was a very decent price in the current climate and their commission was an agreed fixed fee that i was very happy with, maybe try a local dealer close to you.

+1 for both Subdial and Dom Hackett.
Great people to deal with. Fair and straightforward.
