Anyone bought from the above?

https://www.cswatches.com/

I know they’re only Seiko Mods but I fancy treating myself to something a bit different. I already have a couple of Monsters and more G’s than anyone should have - don’t want to spend 000’s so looking for a nice alternative.

I think some of the black on black on black stuff is a bit OTT but I’d wear any of the other examples.

I bought this Seiko Custom Arctic from Ben in 2021 though it's no longer available to buy. It's a cracking watch and Ben was a pleasure to deal with.

If you have some basic watch tools, and can use them, you can build your own for a lot less. In fact, for the price of some of them you can build 2.

...if you have the tools, time and inclination - plus void manufacturers warranty. If that's your bag, go for it.
I'd happily pay the premium to be confident it's been done properly/well and get two years warranty to boot.

For Seiko mods they seem pretty expensive, their subhunter is £495 and uses an NH35. As an alternative i've paid a fair chunk less than for a steinhart OVM which is the same look and comes with an SW200 instead.

Some of the others at over £500 are pretty punchy in my opinion.

I purchased a couple of watches from Ben before he went ‘professional’ and started his own branding.

He was always a huge pleasure to deal with and his products were high quality and well finished.

Thanks all.

I would absolutely love to build my own watches but I don’t have the kit, knowledge or patience to do it.

There are plenty of modders selling on Etsy, etc but want one or two from somewhere reputable

I have too, a 007 custom - love it. Some weeks of production, posting to me in Sweden, happy owner ever since (2022).
