A few weeks ago I bought one of these 972.606 from eBay on a whim. It was after watching a YouTube video from NekkidWatchmaker. Maybe not the best but I have left it with a local watchmaker to make the best of it that he can.
As can be seen there is water damage from 12-3. I’ll let it go and hopefully once the new crystal is installed and fresh seals fitted, it will be good to go as a daily knock about watch with a bit of character.
Yes,I didn’t really give them that much attention at the time but I can appreciate them now. Hopefully get it back later this week. It won’t be perfect but as long as it looks nicely worn in and is reliable then I will be happy.
