Does anyone make a good quality, bicompax chronograph around £1.5K that is under 14mm thick?

Some of Farer's range get close, albeit they are just above the budget, but nothing among their current designs/colours really speaks to me. Titanium would be a benefit too.

I thought about extending the budget to used luxury brands, but they all seem pretty chonky, 14mm-15mm, I'm looking for something thinner.

I love the look of the new Hanhart, but it's way more than I want to spend.

The old Omega Dynamic chrono is a lovely watch in your budget.

Is that the one with the incredibly expensive servicing costs though?

I'm not really keen on the Seagull movement TBH.

Are the Junghams all quartz? I'm lookin for automatic or manual.

Quartz really is your option here but if it must be mechanical (not in the title).....

https://baltic-watches.com/en/products/scalegraph-...

or

https://www.sorrentoaurumgioielli.it/en/hamilton/6...

For instance.

A combination of good knowledge from PH AND a judicious use of Google will probably find your answer for you, good hunting!

(However, under 14m, mechanical and Ti, new, well we all have dreams)

Mine cost £280 in 2014 so not expensive for a chronograph.

Thanks. I quite like a lot of the Baltic designs, but don't know much about the brand at all. Are they well made?

How about Hamilton?

Or

With the 15% off discount code it’s near your budget. I’ve bought a few watches from First Class and can recommend them.

Geeky point of order - “compax” refers to the number of complications, not the number of sub-dials. So a dual sub-dial face with a separate date is a tri-compax. A single sub-dial face with a date is a bi-compax, as is a dual sub-dial face with no date nerd

If you send to an independent watchmaker then servicing a chronograph movement will be pretty much the same whatever the model. Personally in the 1.5-2k range I’d be looking at used Omega Breitling Tag. If you move it on you’ll get your money back too. Something like a Speedmaster Reduced although they are not bi it’s a classic design and good value.

From my research I was favouring this, it's such a great looking watch, I love the green. The blue with the orange hands is also nice. It's hard to choose.

It's interesting that there are some chrono watches under 14mm, although most are above my budget.

Tissot Telemeter 1938: 13.9mm

Longines Record Heritage Chronograph: 13.8mm

Breitling must have some very slim movements, some of their chronos are around 13mm which is very thin compared to much more expensive brands.

Farer manage it, and the Tissot above is also thin.

That Wise is interesting, they make some very good looking dials. If that uses a Seiko movement, do Seiko make anything similar?

With a discount, a Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster would be close to budget.

That Tissot above is lush, however on their website it now has a silver dial not white, not as nice.
