Hi All, I have a 1976 model Datejust and there’s a small hairline crack on the crystal, can anyone recommend a reputable watchmaker who could replace that for me, or would it be back to Rolex…?

I used tictocman in London recently and was very impressed with them.

My 16600 got a full service, polish and they sorted out the cracked lume pip.

Stick with a local independent with a Rolex parts account they’ll fit the right vintage acrylic crystal quickly and cheap. Rolex will force a full service, take ages and swap parts you may want left original. If you share your location, someone can name a good one.

I've used Kane for repairs and servicing for both modern and vintage Rolexes. Highly recommended.
