This is a watch that I’ve begun hankering after, and that usually ends up only one way.

I’ve been reading about the bracelet though, and how it is the weak link in the watch (hard to undo, not micro adjustable, and hard to macro adjust). Any owners care to share their views? Especially if it is by comparison to the strap.

I understand Zenith have just brought out a new Zenclasp which addresses many of the issues with the current clasp, but assume that is out of reach for me.

You're right about the bracelet. It's the worst part of an otherwise great watch. Clasp is stiff, only two micro adjust holes, and removing links is a pain with those tiny screws that like to seize.

Strap is the better choice. Makes the watch wear lighter and more comfortable anyway. If you really want the bracelet, budget for an aftermarket clasp or wait for a used watch that already has the new Zenclasp fitted. But honestly? Buy it on strap and don't look back.

Zenith will sell you the new clasp which will fit on older CMS models.

Thanks both. I lean naturally towards the bracelet, but I think I’m persuaded that the strap is the way to go. If I have a desire for the bracelet after a decent period of ownership, then I think it will be a visit to an AD to get one.

To close this off: I was set on a white dial but becoming a bit frustrated at lack of opportunities to get one used at a good price. So I started down the green dial path.

When I went to look at one in the flesh, it didn’t really match up to the photos: the green of the bezel looked a bit flat and the green of the dial didn’t pop. So back to white with some resignation that I could be looking for some time.

Then not long after, a bracelet white dial example came up at just the right price, with an after market black strap thrown in (the bracelet looks as new so may not have been worn) so I nabbed it.

The clasp isn’t too stiff, thankfully, and dimensions of my knuckles vs my wrist mean it fits snugly and is fairly easy to get on even without a micro adjustment slider in the clasp.

And my oh my, it’s a nice looking thing. Very happy - and thanks to those who provided input.

It's truly a fabulous watch in the flesh. I think I've settled on wanting the black dial but it's a dilemma choosing between them.
